Fell Behind, but Welcome Fall

So I have been very behind on blogging anything lately. It has been a very busy time around here and I have so many beautiful photos to share. First up is The Bridal Affair on Fountain Square. As many know I share my office space with two amazingly talented vendors, JMM Photography and Creative Afflairs. We love to help each other out with each one of our own specialities. Jacalyn, JMM Photography, wanted to have the fun booth. She wanted a fall inspired space where she could hang smaller photos for people to get a taste of her work. Well this is how it turned out! I have been getting so many requests for this tree, yes it is rentable and it has a sister as well. Everything is always better in pairs! Oh and that is the ever so cute Jacalyn posing in front!

Sunny Side of Love

There are two things that you should know about me. One, it is hard to make me cry. I am a true Steel Magnolia. Two, I am fiercely in love with my family. When I saw these photos, the waterworks started. This was one of my favorite weddings. Not because of the abundance of beautiful flowers but because it was my dear cousin Sunny getting married. I do not think that I have ever meet two people that were truly each other's soul mate. Thank you for including me in such an important day. It was a true labor of love! Thank you DCM Photography for the eye candy!

Robot City

I just love doing children's parties. They are so much fun and most of the time bright!! Trey's little party was everything and more that a little kid could ask for in a Birthday Party. A Band, Candy, Make your own Robot, Balloons etc etc. Oh and the band, The Shazzbots, were completely amazing! Super fun and the kids (as well as the adults) loved them. Check them out on Facebook. Then of course the adorable toppers. A great way to add fun to your party. As always, another fun weekend in the life of parties! Happy Birthday Trey!!

Eclectic Essentials

We are trying out a new little venture and I hope that it is welcomed with open arms. In Cincinnati, there are few places that you can reach out to rent "unique items". This year we a thrilled to start out a rental service of antique or specialty items if you must give it a title. From milk glass and hobnail containers to 1970's Pepsi Machine (yes you heard me right), these items will for sure give your event the personal touch that is the rave these days. Once we get more photos of the items, there will be a "Eclectic Essentials" tab for you to view these one of a kind rentals. I love to provide my clients with a fresh approach to different and fun products. If this venture grows, so will the items.

Emily and Chris are Hitched!!!

Emily was an "on it" Bride. It was a perfect mix of feminine flowers with a masculine touch. Bright green, black and white were the colors for the day and it turned out beautiful. Thanks Emily for including me on such an important day. You were great to work with! Beautiful photography made possible by Patrick Banfield Photography.

A Very Un-Birthday Party!

So of course we are not only flowers here at Marti's Floral Designs. Basically overall event design sums up the bill. Any event from weddings to children's parties, we have it covered! Point in case Charlotte's little Alice in Wonderland Tea Party. The pictures beautifully describe the magical party. Studio N Photography once again outdid themselves with the fantastic photos.

Cincinnati Flower Show 2010~ Three Little Piggies

So this year's inspiration for The Cincinnati Flower Show was children's fairy tales. I choose The Three Little Pigs. Yes everything in here is flowers or dried naturals, even down to the little piggies. Moss, Sumac, Waxflower, Mini Daisies, Various Greens, Succulents and King Protea to name a few are what were used to create this magical setting. We were one of the few to receive GOLD medal scoring which is always fabulous! Make sure you get out to the Cincinnati Flower Show to check it out!! Oh and of course a little photo love to JMM Photography. Fabulous as always...
